So while you were having your Starbucks this morning…guess what I was doing?
I was concocting a Mocha Martini using Godiva’s Chocolate Truffle coffee.
You see, this post is part of Foodbuzz’s Tastemaker Program with Godiva Coffee.
As a featured publisher on Foodbuzz, I am occasionally invited to experiment with products and recipes.
Tough job. Someone has to do it.
Back to the Martini…
I decided to make cold pressed coffee.
There’s been a lot of buzz in the blogs-o-sphere over iced coffee and the cold press method.
I do believe Ree from The Pioneer Woman started the craze…
Then I saw it again on Pinterest from The Homesteading Housewife along with beautiful photos!
Finally in my e-mail box this week, one of my favorite bloggers Janae Monir teased me with her experience.
I had to do it.
It’s so ridiculously simple resulting in a wonderfully rich full-of-flavor brew.
Simply put 1 cup of ground coffee (the good stuff, you know what I’m talking about!) with one quart of cold water in a pitcher.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. (overnight is convenient!)
Cover a colander with cheese cloth…
Pour.
That’s it…put it in the frig..and it’ll hold up for a few days!
We now have our rich, chocolate-y, cold coffee…
Let the games begin!
In a martini glass, pour in this order…
1.5 oz. Irish creme liqueur
1 oz. Godiva chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz. Vodka
2 oz. cold-pressed Godiva Chocolate Truffle iced coffee
and….
drum roll please…
Two little scoops of chocolate ice cream!
YES!
I know what you’re thinnnking…
Did she or din’t ssshhee?

Wow. That’s a very special drink. I’m thinking I might save it as a replacement dessert
But impressive commitment to the recipe testing agenda (and your photos are beautiful)
many thanks for stopping by! yes, this is definitely dessert material!
Beautiful! Are we allowed to have these for breakfeast?
I won’t tell if you don’t!
This is a great recipe, thank you and the pictures are pretty.
