Because:
I’m overdosed on the holiday…
it took well over four days to prepare for…
my refrigerator is full of eggs and ham…
and mustard…and horseradish…
and something pickled…
my sisters and I each made a casserole involving cheese…(that would be three cheesy casseroles)
Because:
I stood on the scale this morning…
I’m tired…even though it was a joyous holiday…
I have more ham than I know what to do with…
I want a meal that doesn’t include an egg, ham or mayonnaise…
last Friday I found crab legs on sale…
While I’m soaking the beans for a ham and bean soup later this week…
I bring you my easy to make crab legs recipe.
Grab yourself 1/2 lb to 1 lb. pre-cooked crab legs thawed..
Place the crab legs on a raised rack in a grilling pan…
Put enough water to come to the top of the grill pan, add 1/2 cup white wine, juice from one lemon and a generous sprinkling of Old Bay Seasoning.
Cover with foil. Place in a 350 degree oven for about 20-30 minutes to steam. Legs will be done when the steam smells like crab.
Note: Instead of serving with clarified butter, I invite you to try a low-fat honey mustard salad dressing to dip the crab into! Sweet!
